Spotted

How Spotted works

See the shape. Name the car.

The round

  1. 01
    One silhouette

Every day shows the outline of one car, filled solid black. The shape is all you get — no colour, no badge, no background.

  2. 02
    Name it

Search the car catalogue and pick a make and model. Only real cars from the list can be submitted, so a typo never costs you a guess.

  3. 03
    6 guesses

You get 6. The same car cannot be guessed twice, and a guess that is rejected — one you have already tried, or one the list does not know — does not count against you.

  4. 04
A clue each time you miss

Up to 5 clues, one unlocked by each wrong guess, ordered from least revealing to most: the era, where the marque is from, the body style, something mechanical, and finally the manufacturer.

  5. 05
    See the car

When you get it, run out of guesses, or give up, the silhouette is shown beside the real photograph — the same crop, the same size, so you can see exactly what you were looking at.

The squares

Each guess leaves a square, and the colour says how close it was. They are the same three states Revved uses, so a run reads the same way in both games.

Scoring

Getting it first go is 1,000. Every wrong guess before the right one costs 100, so a solve on the last guess is still worth 500. Running out and giving up both score nothing — the reveal tells them apart, the scoreboard does not.

One official go at each day. The archive lets you play any previous silhouette as often as you like, and those rounds never touch your streak or your stats.
